Culture hall loved by citizens
In 2015, the dismantling construction of the cultural hall was broken.
It is a precious video that I only took at this time.
It is a video that is unusual worldwide, aerial video of the demolition work with drone.
RENTARO TAKI
He produced a lot of famous songs. “KOJYO NO TSUKI” is one of his famous songs.
His name is “RENTARO TAKI”. He spent his boyhood at TAKETA CITY where this cultural hall was built in 1975.
But the cultural hall cannot use anymore, because of the flood in 2012.
TAKI MUSIC FESTIVAL
I can say that we are raised up with this cultural hall called BUNKA KAIKAN. When we are students, we joined the “TAKI MUSIC FESTIVAL” which is taken place annually at the BUNKAKAIKAN. We had to practice singing a song at school to join Choral Competition.
I wonder why I didn’t think that “why I should sing a song with them? why I have to join the competition? Why why why ???”
Yeah… Naturally we joined the competition. No doubts. It is like that I wake up and have a breakfast and go to school or work and come back and have a dinner. TAKI MUSIC FESTIVAL is like our lives, habit and regular event.
Moreover, I remember that we sometimes visited the BUNKAKAIKAN to watch movie. That is the beautiful memory for us.
However, bad things happened in 1975. Taketa city was hit by floods. And BUNKAKAIKAN was destroyed at the same time.
We all got shocked that’s because our lovely cultural hall was gone. We cannot see the beautiful BUNKAKAIKAN and beautiful memories.
But we thought that we had to rebuilt BUNKAKAIKAN because it gave us a lot of memories and happiness.
Rebuilding starts in 2017 by Hisao Koyama who is the famous architect in Japan and emeritus professor of Tokyo University.
We are looking forward to the new BUNKAKAIKAN which will be called TAKETA CITY BUNKA HALL. (BUNKA means CULTURE.)
